Recently described by Campaign Magazine as an ‘enterprising new-business professional’, Karla is also a member of the Courvoisier Future 500 – the exclusive network of pioneers, entrepreneurs and spirits from the arts, social enterprise, business, gastronomy, fashion and beyond.
Before becoming an independent growth consultant (Hunter & Farmer), Karla worked in business development for some of the UK’s most renowned creative agencies including product design agency Seymourpowell and ‘designvertisers’ Williams Murray Hamm. In 2012, Karla co-founded The Art of New Business alongside Sarah Bradley.
Based in Whitstable, Karla lives with her artist husband, her edible-cheeked baby girl and her soppy cat. She’s a big fan of rap karaoke and barn owls.
With over 10 years’ experience gained at large global advertising agencies, including TBWA\ and McCann Worldgroup, Sarah is relentless in her quest to find new ways of engaging with people and helping agencies to find and win new business. Sarah wants to see the death of “selling” and encourages people to think instead about building strong relationships and helping each other.
Before co-founding The Art of New Business, Sarah set up consultancy Acquire New Business Ltd in 2010, helping agencies large and small to find and win new business. An avid supporter of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, Sarah also created a collaborative movement for the creative industry in the North of England called Northern Soho, has contributed to steering committees focused on the development of the creative industry, and sits on judging panels for marketing awards.
Based in Manchester, UK, Sarah lives with her husband Stefan, Black Labrador Barney and 3 cats. Self confessed she is “a bit of a hippy”, enjoys growing her own veggies, and dreams of owning a farm in Tuscany one day.
